The current strike by workers at Canada Post and the shutdown of postal services in Canada is at least partially over with some postal deliveries resuming and the workers now conducting rolling strikes at different locations in turn. However, whilst the GPO have started to accept mail for Canada they are still holding it in the UK and not delivering on to Canada until the backlog is cleared.

We will, of course, keep a close eye on developments and once the GPO resumes deliveries to Canada we will revert fully to our normal operations.

However, in the meantime the following back up arrangements will be in operation:-

MAPLE LEAVES:- Our October issue will be made available online at this website for members in Canada to read or download. Hard copy mailings will follow once the mail situation from the UK to Canada returns to normal.

SOCIETY AUCTION:- Our current auction closed on Friday 17 October and lots will be picked and sorted over the coming days. Invoices to bidders will be sent out by e mail in the usual way and we would ask all members to settle these promptly in the usual way. Given the current situation we will delay shipping to Canada by at least a week to allow the dust to settle.
